About the Role

At GoTo Financial, we have a vast suite of merchant-facing products that are designed to serve various use cases. For those who sell online, Midtrans is one of the leading products that provides various capabilities across payments, and disbursement. It is used by some of the biggest professional and individual sellers in Singapore and Indonesia. For those who sell offline, we have POS solutions, QRIS, and card payment systems.

As a designer on this team, you will get to design for a vast array of entrepreneurial users from small businesses to mega-corps. Product designers at GTF Merchant Services are expected to utilize their knowledge and expertise to ensure we produce the best solutions for our merchants. You will be part of a team of designers working to simplify and design for complex problem areas of existing and cutting-edge payment acceptance tech, strategic decision-making tools, and much more for our merchants. For your assigned problem areas you will be responsible for product design, user advocacy, and collaborating with others on the team for creating a seamless merchant experience.

What You Will Do

Work under the supervision of a Product Design Manager to improve user the experience of our merchants and their various archetypes (owners, managers, cashiers, and more)

Dissect product briefs and be able to present the ideas/solutions to the team under guidance.

Effectively deliver features and improvements with a well-defined scope.

Define end-to-end designs and interactions for features using Figma.

Document the design process for each feature, such as research findings, ideations, usability testings, release, and monitor the impact after the product release.

Contribute to the team cadence discussion and make short presentations to the team, as well as present the team’s updates if needed

Responsible for getting buy-in of your solution/ideas from stakeholders

Proactively seek/give feedback from merchants and other stakeholders to make sure concepts are meeting the intended project goal

What You Will Need

At least 3 years of experience in product design related roles, or design for digital products.

Familiarity with data, ability to identify problem areas, mapping the user journey, and breaking problems into smaller chunks for ideation and refinement.

Experience with analytics tools to gather data from feature usage (funnel).

Possess a good knowledge of design fundamentals such as human-computer interaction theory, using and empowering others to use design thinking and other relevant frameworks in order to develop products.

Ability to create lo-fi and high-fi designs and the ability to design for scale and high maintainability.

Have good knowledge of the tools such as Figma, and Figjam, that are used in the design team especially product design roles.

Knowledge of design validation, either through quantitative or qualitative research.

Excellent organizational skills. Facilitation skills are a plus
