About the Role

In what we do, you’ll have a direct impact on improving financial inclusivity in the country, equalizing access to those who are ambitious and driven to grow their businesses, but deprived of capital to scale. The role is to lead the Go-To-Market (GTM) team of Insurance Services as Head. Your day-to-day would involve a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with Product, Risk Analytics, and Data Science teams among others, with the aim to continuously develop the merchant lending offering to empower our merchant ecosystem to thrive. Leveraging business intelligence data, experimentation, and your creativity, you will develop a cohesive strategy and lead its implementation, thus becoming highly instrumental in helping our team closer to realizing our ultimate goal: providing financial service access to all heroes of the nation’s economy.

What You Will Do

Lead a lean impactful team to deliver results: You will lead a team made of growth, analytics, product marketing and creative to initiate and execute initiatives

Data-driven problem-solving: Delving deep into the data with the purpose of really understanding merchant behaviors, ultimately guiding smarter business decisions

Entrepreneurial endeavors: Identify product or business opportunities and support growth trajectory with experimentations and recommendations

Experiment like scientists: Making sure experiments are empirically robust, hypotheses rightly formulated, and continual learnings achieved, leading to unlocking new and improved understanding of what we do

Budget gatekeeper: You will help us to spend wisely, and allocate resources to where they drive the most impact

What You Will Need

At least 4 years of experience in a professional role in Financial Services, Growth/Product role within Tech, Consulting, or Investment Banking would be a plus

Fast & Agile: Ability to excel in a constantly changing and rapidly growing workplace

Data-Driven Outlook: When making decisions you leverage technical resources and data to support hypotheses. You can take the basics of data and draw insights from it. Life without Excel terrifies you. SQL fluency is required; R, Python experience is a plus

Language: Fluency in business-level English is a must

Required Experience: You’ve got prior learnings using data to make decisions, you have led a team before, you have a proven track record of building systems and scaling them, you have managed diverse stakeholders with ease. You are an expert in Microsoft Office & Google-Suite products

You have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Statistics, or Marketing. Other relevant backgrounds are also welcome to apply!

About the Team

Our team’s collective goal is to shape the convenience of accessing insurance products on our journey to provide financial inclusion for all Indonesians that resonates with trust and reliability. This role will be part of the Insurance Platform team within Gojek’s Financial Services Platform. We are constantly figuring out new ways to prioritize easy access to financial products like insurance with scalable integration for a wider range of partners in new verticals. The team will work not only with Gojek internal product teams like Transport, Food, Logistic, etc, but also with our third-party insurtech and other partners in the financial sector. This is an exciting time to join our relatively new squad as we’re prepared to expand rapidly in 2023 by tapping into newly-emerged offerings within the Gojek group ecosystem and beyond.
